Domestic Cleaning FAQ’s
Is there a contract I have to sign?
No, we prefer to earn your continued custom on our ability to provide a quality long lasting, honest and reliable service.
Do I have to be home when the cleaners come?
No, we hold keys for about 85% of our client’s homes or we hold the codes to gain access to their key safes.
Will I have the same cleaner(s)?
There is no guarantee that you will always see the same cleaner(s) due to the cleaning industry being notorious for high staff turnover but we will always do our best to make sure you see as little change as possible and we will of course notify you if a change ever does take place. Rest assured that any new staff members will be fully vetted and fully trained before setting out on their own.
What happens if my cleaner is ill or on holiday?
We will replace them with an experienced senior member of staff for the duration or their absence.
Can I change my Cleaner?
Yes, if you are not happy with one of our cleaners then you must notify the office immediately, so we can find a suitable replacement.
Who Provides the equipment?
We do, we provide all of it! The reason?….Health & Safety – Everyone who works for us has been trained in how to use our equipment safely and properly and they have also been COSHH trained in the chemicals that 1st Klas supplies. As a company we need to minimize the risk of injury to all of our staff.
What time would I expect my cleaners to arrive?
Once we’ve agreed a day and the frequency of your cleans we will agree a time with you, we like to give a 1hr time window, so for example if you said you would like a morning clean then your 1hr time window for your cleaner(s) to arrive could be between the hours of 09.30am – 10.30am.
Is 1st Klas Cleaning Services insured?
Yes, we are fully insured and a photocopy of our cover can be sent on request.
What is the minimum time I can book?
We don’t really have a minimum booking time but the most popular times to book are 2 and 3 hour cleans.
What do I do if I need to cancel a clean one week?
All we ask is that you contact the office to notify us of the cancellation date and the date when the cleaning will commence again.
What do I do if I have a complaint with the cleaning?
Call the office immediately so we can get the issue dealt with that very same day.
What do I do if my cleaner damages something?
Your cleaner should tell you to get in contact with the office immediately so repairs or replacements can be arranged.
Feedback and Check ups
At 1st Klas Cleaning services we always try to maintain a high standard of cleaning and from time to time you may see the owner or senior manager out to visit your home on a spot check just to make sure things are running smoothly but not always can we be out checking all of our cleaners, so for that reason we always welcome any feedback about your cleaner(s) be it good or bad.
